Bringing the presidency to the people

It took over a dozen people to run the President’s social media accounts in the Office of Digital Strategy at The White House. We created original graphics, photos, and video to highlight the administration’s policies and accomplishments. Our visual and content standards were incredibly high, as our channel was one of the most-watched and most-scrutinized in the world. We had to uphold the dignity of the office — but also keep it relevant and engaging.

President Biden’s legacy: Responding to the COVID-19 pandemic

Producer, editor and co-videographer

The video team produced over a half dozen videos to highlight the administration’s major accomplishments and policy wins, and they were published in the last week of the administration. I interviewed Dr. Anthony Fauci and dove through hours of never-before-seen archival footage to edit together the narrative of how the Biden-Harris administration brought the country through the pandemic.

President Biden awards the Medal of Freedom

Producer, editor and co-videographer

When notable people come to the White House, we often get to interview them and add their voices to the final story about the event. President Biden awarded the Medal of Freedom to 19 people in 2024. It was a group effort to film the day, interview some of the honorees like Hillary Clinton, Michael J. Fox, Anna Wintour and Magic Johnson and film slow motion portraits. In the edit, I was able to capture the emotion and feeling of being in a room with iconic figures.

August footage from The White House

Producer and editor

Every month, I edited a montage of all the major events and behind-the-scenes footage at The White House. It was a massive undertaking to comb through hours of daily footage and find a way to transition from one sequence to the next. The beginning of this video is the day that Americans wrongfully detained in Russia were freed, and it follow the families of as they waited to greet their loved ones returning at Joint Base Andrews.
